Chennai Metro Rail Limited entrusted with the implementation of Chennai Metro Rail Project requires efficient,   experienced   and   competent persons for   the   under   mentioned   posts on contract.
The engagement on contract will not entail anyone to claim for any regular employment in CMRL

Asst. Manager (Transport Planning)
Architect
Engineer (Tunnel)

Consolidated Pay (per month) = 40.000/- pm

Age Limit = 30 years

Note:
Age, Qualification  &  experience  stipulated  above  should  be  as  on 18-10-2017.
Age  may  be relaxed  for deserving  and experienced  candidates.
Apart  from  the  consolidated  pay,  benefits  like Medical & Accident Insurance will be extended.
Persons with requisite experience and qualification alone need to appear for walk-in-interview on 28-10-2017, 09:00 hrs at above mentioned address.
The  number  of  vacancy  indicated  above  may  increase  or  decrease  based  on  the  requirement  of  the project.

Required Qualification and Experience:
Assistant Manager (Transport Planning);- Candidate  must  possess B.E  /  B.Tech in  Civil  Engineering with  Master  degree  in Transportation Planning/  Transportation  Engineering/  Urban  Planning  from  a  reputed  University/Institute  recognized by Govt. and should possess minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in execution of large Transportation  infrastructure  projects  and  also  involved  in  city  level  Transportation  studies  such  as CCTS, CMP, Feasibility, DPR,etc.,

Roles and Responsibilities:
Transport Planning for Metro Rail Operations
Overall Integrated Planning with respect to city mass rapid transit system/Public Transport system
Dealing with Multi Modal Integration Transport system issues & solutions
Preparation of Station accessibility plan (People/Vehicle)
Periodical review of metro ridership data and metro passenger travel pattern
Periodical review of Metro operations plan with respect to Passenger demand
To prepare Strategy on Feeder Bus operations
To Monitor Fare box revenue
To Coordinate with State/Central Government agencies regarding Transport Planning Projects and issues
CUMTA coordination Works
To review and monitoring of various Transport Planning related consultancy assignments such as
Feasibility study, DPR, Techno economic feasibility,etc.,

Architect:-
Must be a B.Arch. graduate from a recognized Institute. Should  have  minimum  5 years  of post-qualification experience  in the  field  of Architecture  design  in large Infrastructure project preferably in Metro Rail Projects/Railway Projects
Familiar  with  design  aspects  of  life  safety  and  fire  safety  requirement  in  design  implementations  and material selection. 
Experience in design / construction of various elements of Architectural finishes for flooring, cladding, glazing, ceiling system, room layout and partition, rooms interior design, station signage, subway design and  finishes

Selection  of  materials  for  various  element  of  Architecture  finishes,  adherence  to  public safety.
Quality  Control  &  Assurance  System  in  Architectural  finishes,  Safety implementation,  Programme Monitoring.  IS / International codes for Architectural finishes.
Exposure in use of the design software like CADD, Photoshop, 3D Max, Revit or Equivalent software etc.
This subject job is field job for the supervision of Architectural works for ongoing CMRL works.

Engineer (Tunnel):-
Candidate    must   possess  graduation in Civil  Engineering or Equivalent from a reputed University/Institute  recognized  by  Govt.  
Should  have  atleast  5  years of work  experience  in  Railway Environment  in  construction  of  Railway  Tunnel  for  Board  Tunnel,  C&C  Tunnel  and  NATM  with
Geotechnical  Experience/Knowledge.  Should  be  familiar  with  management  of  contract  related  to  large infrastructure   projects.   Should   have   knowledge   &   skill   in   management   of   FIDIC condition of contract/International   civil   construction   contracts,   quality   control   &   Assurance   system   in   civ
il construction,  safety  implementation,  programme  monitoring.  IS/International  codes  for  construction  of civil underground structures.

Selection process:
The  selection  methodology comprises two-stage  process,  interview  followed  by  Medical  examination.
The  selection  process  would  judge  different  facets  of  knowledge,  skills,  comprehension,  aptitude  and physical fitness.

a) Medical Examination:
Expenses for the first time medical examination of the candidate will be borne by CMRL. However, in case a candidate seeks extension for joining, then the second time medical examination expenditure will be borne by the candidate. To & fro travel expenses for the medical test shall be borne by the candidate.
The candidate who fails in the prescribed medical test will not be given any alternative employment and decision of CMRL is final on this issue. 

Character & Antecedents:
The success in the above stated selection process does not confer any right to appointment unless CMRL is satisfied after such an inquiry,  as  may  be  considered  necessary,  that  the  candidate  character  and antecedents is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service.

Concessions & Relaxations:
a. The maximum age limit prescribed for the appointment does not apply to a candidate belonging to a Scheduled  Caste  or  Scheduled  Caste  (Arunthathiyars)  or  Scheduled  Tribe  or  to  any  of  the  Most Backward  Classes/  Denotified  Communities  or  Backward  Classes  (other  than  Muslim)  or  Backward Class (Muslim)
b.The  age  limit  prescribed  shall  be  increased  by  five  years  in  respect  of  candidates  belonging  to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars) or Scheduled Tribes and two years in respect of candidates  belonging  to  Most  Backward  Classes/  Denotified  Communities,  Backward  Classes  (other than Muslim) or Backward Classes (Muslim).
c.Notwithstanding  anything  contained  in  these  rules  or  in  the  special  rules  for  the  various  State  and Subordinate Services, a Differently Abled Person shall be eligible for an age concession upto ten years over  and above  the  age  limits  prescribed  for  the  appointment  to  post  by  direct  recruitment  only, provided  the  applicant  is  otherwise  fully  suitable  and  the  disability  is  not  such  as  would  render  his incapable of efficiently discharging the duties of the post for which the candidate is selected.
d.The upper age for Ex-Servicemen will be the length of service in armed forces plus 03 years.

General Conditions:
a.  Only Indian Nationals need apply.
b. Age, Qualification  &  experience  stipulated  above  should  be as  on 18-10-2017.
The  candidates  are advised to ensure before appearing  for the walk-in-interview that they fulfill the eligibility criteria and other  requirements  mentioned  and  that  the  particulars  furnis
hed  by  them  are  correct  in  all  aspects.  In case, if it is detected at any stage of recruitment process that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria  and  /  or  does  not  comply  with  other  requirements  of  this  advertisement  and  /  or the  candidate has furnished any incorrect or false information or has suppressed any material fact, the candidature is
liable  to  be  rejected.  If  any  of  the  above  short  comings  is  /  are  detected  even  after  appointment, the services will be terminated without any notice.
c.  The contract will  be extended only  if  requirement  exists on  mutually  agreed  terms subject  to  the performance of the candidates.
d. In order to regulate the number of candidates to appear for the walk-in-interview, if so required, the Management  reserves  the  right  to  raise  the  minimum  eligibili
ty  standards/criteria,  or  to relax  the minimum eligibility standards/criteria including age limit depending upon the response to the advertised posts and experience /merit of the candidates available for the walk-in-interview.
e.Merely meeting the above qualifications and experience shall not entitle a candidate to be selected for interview.
f. Depending on the requirements, the CMRL reserves the right to cancel / curtail / increase the number of vacancies without any further notice and without assigning
any reason thereof.
g.No TA/DA will be paid by CMRL to the candidates for attending the interview.
h. No application fee is to be paid by the candidates.
i. The selection committee may recommend higher remuneration in case of candidate possessing higher qualification, experience and credentiality /expertise in the relevant field.
j. CMRL reserves the right to withdraw  advertised posts at any time without assigning any reason and also reserves the right to fill (either in the same position or downgraded posi
tion) or not to fill the posts and its decision in this regard shall be final.
k. Persons  already  working  in  Government  /  PSU  organization  should  produce  NOC  at  the  time  of interview.
l. Incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (self-attested copies of degree/mark sheet/experience certificate) at the time of walk-in-interview will be out rightly rejected.
m.Candidates   attempting   to   influence   or   interfere   with   the   selection   process   will   be   rejected  summarily and be declared disqualified for future CMRL recruitments.
n. Candidates  who  fulfill  the  above  requirement  may  appear  for  walk-in-interview  along  with  duly filled  in  application  form  supported  by  Bio-Data  and one  set of  self-attested  copies  of  certificate  of  educational  qualifications,  age,  experience, community and latest passport size  photograph.  Candidates  are required  to  bring  all  the  original  certificates  for
verification.

1. In  continuation  to the Notice  published  in  Employment  News  08-14  October  2016, Hindustan   Times   dated   27.09.2016   and   Navbharat   Times   dated   29.09.2016,
National  Highways  Authority  of  India  (NHAI)  invites  applications  for  40  posts  of Deputy Manager (Technical) in the Pay Band –3 (Rs. 15,600 –39,100/-) with Grade Pay Rs.5400/-(in CDA pattern) (as per 6thCPC) on Direct Recruitment basis through GATE  scores  valid  as  on  31.07.2017,  in  the  discipline  of  Civil  Engineering.  The number  of  the  post  advertised may  increase  or  decrease  at  the  discretion  of  the Authority.

Post:- Deputy  Manager (Technical) 40-vacancies
Eligibility Conditions :
(a)Educational Qualification : Degree in Civil Engineering   from   a   recognized University / Institute. 
(b) Age : Not   exceeding   30  years as on   31.07.2017.   Age relaxation is   applicable   as per     Government     of     India     rules     applicable     for     different     categories
(SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
(c)Selection process:
On the basis of valid GATE scores in Civil Engineering discipline, as on 31.07.2017.

How to Apply:
Applicant can apply either Online or Offline. Procedure to be followed for both the modes is given below:-
(a) Online Applications:
(i)The Applicant may visit NHAI website http://www.nhai.org. for applying Online.  It may be accessed on Google Chrome or Mozila Firefox.
(ii) Click  on  the  tab About Us  Recruitment  Vacancies  /  Result   Click on  the advertisement of Deputy Manager (Technical)  Online Application.
(iii) Fill-up the form and furnish the requisite information.
(iv)Following documents are required to be uploaded:- Photograph-Scanned   copy   of   colour   passport   size   photograph   in   only
Signature -Scanned  copy  of  signature  in  only ‘jpg’/’jpeg’ or ‘png’ or ‘gif’ image types not exceeding 1 MB.
(v) Click ‘Next’button.
(vi)Application Preview may be seen.
(vii)Option of ‘Edit’ and final  Submitbutton, are also available.
(viii)If the Applicant is satisfied with the information furnished, click  “Submit” button for  submitting  the  application  form  through  Online. The  application  form  Online may be submitted by 31.07.2017 (6:00 PM).
(ix) After  submission  of  Application  Form,  a “Unique Reference Number” along  with details  entered  by  the  Applicant  with  subject  “Application  Acknowledgement” will be generated automatically. 
(x)Automatically generated  “Application Acknowledgement” would be sent to the E-mail ID provided by the Applicant.
(xi) After submitting the Application through Online, the Applicant shall submit a copy of “Application Acknowledgement” within a week at the address mentioned at para 7 herein by Speed post /
Registered post.
(xii)  The Copy of the Application Acknowledgment should also be enclosed with copies of the following self-attested documents:-

Proof of Date of Birth
Educational Qualification
SC/ST/OBC/PwD certificate (if applicable)
Valid GATE score card
Other   supporting   documents   (viz.   Experience   certificate,   NOC   from   the employer, etc.), if applicable.
(xiii) The Envelope containing the Application should be super - scribed with the name of the post applied for: Deputy Manager (Technical).
(b)Offline Application:
(i)In  case,  the  Applicant  is  unable  to  apply Online,  he  may  send  his  duly  filled Application  form  as  per  the  format  enclosed  at the  address  mentioned  at  para
7 herein by Speed post / Registered post, so as to reach by 31.07.2017(6.00 pm).
(ii)The  application should    also   be enclosed  with  copies   of   following  self-attested documents:-

Proof of Date of Birth
Educational qualification
SC/ST/OBC/PwD
certificate (if applicable),
Valid GATE score
Other   supporting   documents   (viz.   Experience   certificate,   NOC   from   the employer, etc.), if applicable.
4.Other Important Conditions:
(a) The  Applicants  are  advised  to  fill  the  application  form  (Online or  Offline,  as  the case may be) carefully in accordance with the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
It  may  be  noted  that  any  subsequent  clarification  regarding  eligibility  etc.  at  a later date will not be entertained under any circumstances.
(b)The Upper age limit for the advertised post on Direct Recruitment basis is relaxable as per Govt. of India rules applicable for different categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
(c)Only  such  persons  would  be  eligible  for  applying  against  the post  reserved  for Person  with  Disabilities  (PwD)  who  suffer  from  not  less  than  40%  of  relevant
disability  i.e.  Orthopedically  Impaired  (OH)  and  Hearing  Impaired  (HH),  duly supported  by  Disability  Certificate  issued  by  the  Competent  Authority,  as  per  the
instructions issued by Govt. of India, from time to time. 
5.Crucial date for determination of eligibility shall be the last date prescribed for the receipt of applications i.e. 31.07.2017.

8.If the Applicant anticipates delay in obtaining NOC from his/her parent department (if   applicable),   he/she   should   (a)   if   Online,   submit   Online Application   by 31.07.2017(up to 6:00 pm) on NHAI website and (b) if Offline, submit an advance copy of the Application on the address mentioned at para 7 above, so as to reach before the last date prescribed for the receipt of Applications i.e. 31thJuly 2017.
9.It may please be noted that the applications received through e-mail or fax shall be summarily   rejected.   The   Envelope   containing   the Application   /   Application Acknowledgment
should  be  super-scribed  with  the  name  of  the  post  applied  for:                  Deputy Manager (Technical).
10.Corrigendum  or  Addendum  or  cancellation  to  this  advertisement,  if  any,  shall  be published  only  on  the  website  of  NHAI.  Therefore,  the  Applicants  are  advised  to
